This two-day conference brought together healthcare leaders, providers, administrators, researchers and educators to discuss critical issues impacting the health of rural populations, including the critical issue of food insecurity.
Snee, his wife Tammy Snee and Dr. Craig Gundersen, a Professor with the Department of Economics at Baylor University, took the stage to discuss the (HFSP) and the power of partnerships in tackling food insecurity. Launched in 2022 by Â鶹ӳ» in partnership with the United Way of Mower County, HFSP is a cross-sector coalition aimed at addressing the critical issue of food insecurity. “We can always write a check, but that’s not who we are as an organization. We want to roll up our sleeves and do the work,” Snee said at the event. They discussed Â鶹ӳ»’ hands-on approach to philanthropy and the importance of collaborating for lasting change.
